Avomec Duel broad-spectrum drench for sheep is a dual combination antiparasitic drench containing 1g/L abamectin and 50g/L closantel for treatment and control of roundworms, liver fluke, nasal bot and itch mite in sheep. It has activity against barber's pole worm and 6 week sustained activity against closantel-susceptible barber's pole worm.

84 days

When used as directed, AVOMEC DUEL sheep drench treats and controls sensitive strains of the following parasites:

Adult and immature gastrointestinal roundworms:

  • Barber’s Pole Worm (Haemonchus contortus)
  • Small Brown Stomach Worm (Teladorsagia [Ostertagia] circumcincta)
  • Stomach Hair Worm (Trichostrongylus axei)
  • Black Scour Worm (Trichostrongylus spp.)
  • Small Intestinal Worm (Cooperia spp.)
  • Nodule Worm (Oesophagostomum columbianum)
  • Large Bowel Worm (Oesophagostomum venulosum)
  • Large Mouth Bowel Worm (Chabertia ovina)
  • Thin Necked Intestinal Worm (Nematodirus spp.)
  • Whipworm (Trichuris ovis)
  • Intestinal Threadworm (Strongyloides papillosus)

Liver Fluke (Fasciola hepatica) mature and late immature - including 6 week old stages

Lungworm (Dictyocaulus filaria)

Also for the control of: Nasal Bot (Oestrus ovis) – parasitic larval stages only Itch Mite (Psorergates ovis)

Abamectin 1g/L and closantel 50g/L

Ewes may be treated at any stage of pregnancy

Dual action parasite control with the benefit of :

  • Board-spectrum treatment and control of roundworms, liver fluke, nasal bot and itch mite.
  • Activity against resistant strains of barber's pole worm.
  • 6 weeks sustained activity against closantel susceptible Barber's Pole worm.
  • 6 weeks limitation of pasture contamination with faecal eggs of closantel-susceptible Barber's Pole Worm.

AVOMEC DUEL is formulated with a 50 g/L closantel concentration, which is higher than standard closantel sheep drenches delivering 10 mg/kg bodyweight versus 7.5 mg/kg delivered by other closantel formulations.*

The high levels of closantel absorbed into the sheep’s blood are important for good efficacy against the blood-feeding Barber’s Pole Worm and Liver Fluke.

In addition, AVOMEC DUEL formulation is also absorbed at a higher rate than other formulations, even when dosed at the same rate.

  • 1ml per 5 kg bodyweight drench delivering 0.2mg abamectin and 10mg closantel per kg.
  • Ewes may be treated at any stage of pregnancy.
  • Do not use in lambs under 6 weeks of age or less than 10kg bodyweight.
  • Animals in excess of 80kg to be dosed at 2ml/10kg bodyweight.

  • GROWTH - Marks-Min provides elements that support growth by aiding bone, joint and muscle development and function (Mn, Zn, Se) and energy metabolism (vitamin B12).
  • REPRODUCTION - Marks-Min provides elements that support reproduction by aiding the development of male and female reproductive systems, the process of fertilization and also the maintenance of pregnancy (Mn, Zn, Se).
  • IMMUNE DEFENCE - Marks-Min provides elements that support immune defence by aiding in the function of the immune system and white blood cells that help resist establishment of infection (Se, Zn, Mn).
  • ENERGY - Vitamin B12 plays a key role in the production of energy for livestock. Energy is required for all body processes, and it is the backbone of all production.

Chelated trace element injection for sheep, beef and dairy cattle deficient in and/or responsive to manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), selenium (Se) and/or vitamin B12 supplementation.

6.7 g/L Manganese as disodium manganese EDTA
3.3 g/L Selenium as sodium selenite
1.4 g/L Cyanocobalamin

Marks-Min Copper Free Injectable Trace Mineral with Vitamin B12 for Cattle & Sheep contains selenium, zinc, manganese and vitamin B12, which are required for optimal health, production and fertility.

Sub-optimal trace mineral and vitamin B12 status at parturition and mating has been shown to negatively impact production, reproduction and health.

Optimising trace element status relying solely on oral supplements may fail as a result of variation in individual intake and reduced absorption because of antagonism of other ration components and minerals to these essential trace elements.

Using an injectable supplement can improve trace mineral and vitamin B12 status at these critical times, promoting a healthy immune system, which is important in resisting disease, and has a positive impact on reproduction.
